Oppo may launch Android-powered smart TV

Oppo may launch Android-powered smart TV soon Chinese smartphone brand Oppo may reportedly join rivals like Xiaomi, Honor, Nokia, OnePlus among others to launch its first smart TV in the market.

While there is no official word around the same, news about the Oppo smart TV is doing the rounds on Chinese social media platform Weibo.

The Oppo smart TV will run Android and is expected to offer smart features that are available on OnePlus and Samsung TVs. Very little is known about the Oppo smart TV and going by the industry trends where most of the popular smartphone brands are launching TVs, Oppo could join the race too.

As far as the screen size is concerned, Oppo may likely tick to the popular 55-inch segment and as far as the price range is concerned, there is very little evidence as of now that Oppo might launch a super affordable model.

Even if Oppo launches its smart TV there is no hint yet as to whether it will be launched in India or not.

In another news, Oppo has just launched its truly wireless earphones, that sport a design which can be termed as a mashup of the second-generation AirPods and the recently launched AirPods Pro.

Called Oppo Enco Free, these earphones come in two designs - one that offers an in-ear tip and another that offers semi-in-ear tip.
